Sofia has loved animals for as long as she can remember. Growing up surrounded by dogs, cats, and every stray that wandered into the yard, she learned early that animals thrive on attention, routine, and genuine affection — not just food and shelter.
After moving to Washington, DC, she noticed a gap: hardworking professionals near Foggy Bottom faced long days at the office while their dogs waited at home, alone for eight or nine hours at a stretch. Doggy daycares felt impersonal. Traditional dog walkers offered a quick 30-minute loop. Neither option gave dogs the rich, full-day experience they deserved.
DiploDogs bridges that gap. Sofia designed the service around a simple idea — your dog walks to work with you each morning, spends the day exploring DC's best parks and relaxing in a real home, and meets you again each evening.
